About the hotel
The location between Humlegården and Stureplan – two different urban spaces at once
Elite Eden Park Hotel is situated at the corner of Sturegatan/Linnégatan on Östermalm, with Humlegården on one side and Sturegatan towards Stureplan on the other. This means the hotel is located in one of Stockholm's densest quarters for restaurants, bars and shops, yet with direct access to one of the city centre's larger green spaces. Humlegården's park area offers a clear contrast to the surrounding urban life and is easily reached directly from the hotel. Östermalmstorg underground station is within walking distance, providing quick connections to Central Station without needing a taxi. Underground, bus and tram are all within comfortable walking distance, making the hotel a suitable base for those who wish to move around Stockholm by public transport.
Hallwylska Museum is located nearby to the south, and the National Library practically borders Humlegården. For those wishing to reach the Djurgården museums – the Vasa Museum and Skansen – either a bus or a longer walk is required. Stureplan with its shopping galleries and restaurants is literally around the corner, and the quarter's range of restaurants and bars is immediately accessible from the hotel's entrance.
The hotel suits those who want Östermalm as a base and are not dependent on a car. A car park is available on site, but a fee applies. Electric vehicle charging is available in the garage, which is a practical detail for those driving an electric car who wish to avoid searching for a charging station in the city centre. The location thus combines urban pulse and greenery in a way that is unusually central in Stockholm.
Miss Voon and GOMA – two restaurants with an Asian focus on the ground floor
Both of the hotel's restaurants are located on the ground floor and are run by restaurateur Jonas Svensson. Miss Voon is the more dedicated restaurant, with a kitchen that combines flavours from different Asian cuisines with a Scandinavian foundation. The key words are simplicity, freshness and clear flavour character, which is reflected in both the food and drinks menu. The fact that Miss Voon is a full-fledged restaurant rather than a separate breakfast room elevates the experience somewhat compared to many hotels in the same category. The restaurant is aimed at lunch and dinner and offers an environment that works well even for guests not staying at the hotel.
GOMA is the hotel's gastropub with an Asian character, located in direct connection to reception. Here the drinks are in focus and the menu consists of Asian-inspired pub food. The two concepts are clearly separated: Miss Voon is aimed at lunch and dinner in a restaurant setting, whilst GOMA functions as a bar and simpler eatery for those who want something quick or just a drink. The combination of a full-fledged restaurant and a gastropub under the same roof gives the hotel a broader range than is typical in the category.
Breakfast is served as a buffet in Miss Voon's premises. Elite Hotels' own booking page distinguishes between packages with and without breakfast, which means it is worth checking which option applies to the chosen price at the time of booking. The hotel has no other food services beyond the two restaurants and bar.
Room categories from standard single to junior suite
The hotel has 124 rooms spread over six floors. The standard single room is the smallest option with an area of 15 square metres and a 120 cm wide bed – it suits one person and is designed for shorter stays where location weighs more heavily than space. The room has an armchair, desk and shower. It is a small area even for a simple hotel room, but for those who spend most of the day outside the hotel, size matters less.
Superior double room is 21 square metres and accommodates up to two guests; it is the hotel's basic double category. Deluxe double room is 21–24 square metres with a 180 cm wide bed and accommodates up to two guests, offering somewhat more space compared to the Superior category. The junior suite is the hotel's most spacious standard category at 45 square metres with a 200 cm wide bed; it accommodates up to two guests and is well suited for longer stays where comfort and space are prioritised. The differences between the four room categories are thus primarily about area and bed size rather than equipment level, as all categories share the same basic amenities.
All rooms are equipped with a minibar, kettle, coffee and tea, desk, air conditioning, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, iron and safe. These amenities are available in all categories, from standard single to junior suite, which means the differences between room types are primarily about area and bed size rather than equipment level. The hotel is entirely non-smoking and wi-fi is included in all rooms at no extra cost.
LEED certification and Green Key – the hotel's documented environmental profile
Elite Eden Park Hotel is one of Stockholm's first LEED-certified hotels, an international standard for energy and environmental design that sets requirements for, among other things, energy consumption, water use and material choices in the building. LEED certification reviews the property as a whole and is proof that the building meets high standards from the outset. In addition to LEED certification, the hotel also carries the Green Key label, which is an international environmental certification for hotels and is aimed at ongoing operations rather than the building's construction. The two certifications thus cover different aspects and complement each other.
The hotel is part of Elite Hotels of Sweden, a Swedish hotel chain with facilities in several locations across the country. The chain offers a loyalty programme with discounted rates for members, which is visible directly in the booking interface on elite.se. Booking via the chain's own website thus often gives a lower price than via third-party platforms, which is worth knowing before comparing prices. The hotel has 24-hour reception, daily cleaning, dry cleaning and laundry service, and luggage storage.
For meetings, the hotel offers two rooms: a meeting room of 42 square metres for up to eight people and a suite of 70 square metres for up to six people, both with a balcony and views of Humlegården. This is a small conference offering that suits interviews and smaller working groups rather than larger conferences. Those needing larger spaces should look to one of Stockholm's conference hotels. The hotel has a gym and sauna available for guests.
